RCA Software and Training Go Together

Requests for Software Information
Every year, we receive an increasing number of requests for information about our cloud-based TapRooT® Root Cause Analysis Software. Software is now a required part of a company’s root cause analysis efforts. And, of course, the patented, award-winning TapRooT® Software is a great choice for companies that want to establish a common means of root cause analysis and use it to analyze their data and identify trends and generic root causes.
That’s GREAT! But what about…
Root Cause Analysis Training
Usually, when people request information about root cause analysis software, they also need to get information about root cause analysis training.
Maybe they don’t ask because the people looking for software represent the IT division of the company. Maybe it is a purchasing person who has been asked to get a quote for software, but nobody mentioned training. But anyone interested in RCA software should be equally interested in the root cause analysis system on which the software is based and the training that supports learning of the system by employees.

TapRooT® RCA Training

Why is TapRooT® Root Cause Analysis Training so highly rated? Here are three ideas…
- The first reason is the SYSTEM. A great system is needed to have great training.
- The second reason is the development and continual improvement of our courses. We use the systematic approach to training and then continuously improve our training based on student and instructor feedback. The improvements aren’t superficial changes in graphics and fonts. They are substantial additional knowledge that investigators need to find the real, fixable root causes of human errors and equipment failures. And we make the course very interactive. You won’t be bored. You will be involved in learning and applying new skills.
- The third reason is that our instructors are highly experienced and work to continually improve their knowledge of root cause analysis and performance improvement, and their training skills.
And we stand behind our training with a money-back guarantee:
Attend this course, go back to work, and use what you have learned to analyze accidents, incidents, near-misses, equipment failures, operating issues, or quality problems. If you don’t find root causes that you previously would have overlooked, and if you and your management don’t agree that the corrective actions that you recommend are much more effective, just return your course materials, and we will refund the entire course fee.
Have you ever seen a course with this kind of iron-clad guarantee?
TapRooT® Software
I was there in the early days of root cause analysis software. I don’t think there was any root cause analysis software when we started our development in 1990.

And that was the start. We’ve had many improvements and new versions since then. We are now on version 6.

But what makes our software so unique and useful? Let’s start with the fact that you can’t get software like ours anywhere else. Why? Because our software is patented. In 1998 and 1999, we applied for and received (in 2002) patents (#6,463,441 and #6,735,597) for root cause analysis software (incident analysis and solution system).
It was quite an achievement for us to have the US Trademarks and Patents Office recognize the uniqueness of our approach to our database development and root cause analysis tools (especially the computerization of the Root Cause Tree® Diagram.

Our cloud-based software has been recognised with awards and user praise. But we aren’t resting on our laurels. Watch for an announcement this Fall about a major new software (AI) that is in beta testing, and that can be used with the TapRooT® Software to make your root cause analysis even more powerful.
