Don’t Go It Alone!

Improvement Needs a Team

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller

Are you trying to improve safety, quality, equipment reliability, production excellence, or environmental performance by yourself? You can make progress, but imagine how much more you could do with a team.

Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people.” – Steve Jobs

But how do you get your team to:

  • Share the same vision?
  • Be inspired to accomplish great things?
  • Work together as a high-performance team?

If you have never led or worked as part of high-performing teams, you have missed one of the best experiences of your professional career.” – Fred Wilson

One possibility is to bring your team together at an event that is designed to:

  • Inspire with best practices,
  • Inform with new ideas, and
  • Motivate by hearing the stories of others who have risked much to achieve greatness.

As the great basketball coach, Pat Riley said:

Great teamwork is the only way we create
the breakthroughs that define our careers.

Perhaps you have heard people belittle teamwork. They imply that success can only come from individual effort. That team chemistry is superfluous. But as baseball icon Tony La Russa said:

Every once in a while, you hear an expert that says team
chemistry is overrated. You just write that person off.

But where do you start? Start by realizing that Napolean Hill had the right idea when he said:

It is literally true that you can succeed best and
quickest by helping others to succeed.

Then get your team to understand that:

We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in
the same boat now.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

 Are You Inspired?

Now is the time to choose your team and make improvement happen. Make a plan to inspire your team with a vision that includes new ways to improve.

Where can you bring your team for inspiration, motivation, and great ideas? The 2025 Global TapRooT® Summit in Knoxville, Tennessee, on September 29 through October 3.

First, have a look at the talks by our Keynote Speakers.

But that’s not all the valuable lessons you can learn at the Summit. Participants tell us that the networking they experience is the best and most useful of any conference they have attended. Why is this so? Because, we have learned from our previous Summits (27 of them since 1994) how to make cross-industry, cross-profession networking fun.
