Why You Should Attend the Superior Improvement Program Track
Did you know that 85% of improvement programs fail over time or revert to their initial state? Superior improvement programs are the 15% that have lasting and successful results. Whether you are evaluating the health of your current improvement program or just getting started, the Creating a Superior Improvement Program Track is your opportunity to know what you will need to have a successful and sustained improvement program. This track will take you from setting goals and developing improvement measures to identifying and investigating problems to hearing how the first high-reliability organization was built. If we settle for “good enough,” improvement will stop. Create a superior program that will bring sustained results
Can’t Miss Improvement Program Track Sessions
Setting Goals & Developing Improvement Performance Measures
Jake Locklear, CEO of APM, leads this interactive session from a CEO’s perspective. Sharing what has worked in his experience and encouraging attendees to share what has worked for them. This session will share how to truly identify the vision, answer why this vision is important, and how to work at it to achieve goals never achieved before. Attendees will also learn to achieve these goals on time or before the targeted time.
Using TapRooT® to Improve Learning Teams
Many organizations are experimenting with using learning teams to better understand organizational challenges before an incident happens. However, many have complained about the mixed results. The learning seems to be entirely dependent on the experience of the facilitator. This session will give practical ways to improve your learning team’s results and get beyond reliance on the facilitator.
How Admiral Rickover Built the First High-Reliability Organizations
Admiral Rickover built the FIRST (and perhaps only) high-reliability organization – the Nuclear Navy. Here is the story of how he created it, the standards he set, and the performance he achieved (as Forbes magazine wrote: America’s Nuclear Navy is one of the oldest and largest nuclear organizations in the world and has the best safety record of any industry), and the ways that it has lived on long after Admiral Rickover was retired.
