One of those skills is the ability to interview witnesses of the accident. Sometimes people find that their people need help to perform better interviews. Refresher Training

Third and finally, you could develop a custom refresher course combining the refresher training with parts of the 5-Day Course to make a 2, 3, or 4-Day Refresher Course with the parts of the 5-Day Course that you think your investigators will find the most valuable.

1-Day Equifactor® Training

Do you have maintenance personnel who troubleshoot equipment failures and need a more systematic process?

Do you have accident investigators who need to troubleshoot equipment failures as part of a broader investigation?

You are in luck! You can send these folks to a 1-Day Equifactor Troubleshooting Course for fast training on these skills.

They will learn to use Heinz Bloch’s troubleshooting tables to perform a systematic analysis of equipment failure. This analysis uses the symptoms of the failure to guide the troubleshooting and provides information for further root cause analysis.

The 1-Day Equifactor® Course does not include root cause analysis training (that is included in the 2-Day Equifactor® Equipment Troubleshooting and TapRooT® Root Cause Analysis Course). So, if your people already have basic TapRooT® Skills or will be handing over the investigation to others for root cause analysis, this may be the course that you are looking for.

4-Hour General Employee Training

It would be nice for everyone to attend the 2-Day TapRooT® Course and use it to improve performance in their job. However, 2-days of training for everyone is a major commitment. And you may feel that a general familiarization with the TapRooT® System is all that most folks who won’t actually be performing a root cause analysis need.

Thus, we developed a 4-Hour course to introduce general employees to TapRooT® Root Cause Analysis. The goals of this course are to:

• Introduce your employees to the SnapCharT® Diagram, so they have a better idea of what the investigators are doing when they draw one.
• Introduce your employees to the Root Cause Tree® Diagram, so that they understand why investigators ask certain questions and understand that the investigation is not blame-oriented.

This course isn’t enough to apply the TapRooT® Techniques, but it will help those who are participating in an investigation (for example, being interviewed) understand the process and be more helpful.
