TapRooT® SuperUsers Share Challenges, Wins, & Wisdom

Not long ago, we held a TapRooT® SuperUsers virtual meeting – and the response was so strong, we’ve already scheduled another one in just a couple of weeks.
I’ve always believed we can accomplish more by tapping into the knowledge and experience of the people around us. To put that belief into practice, I invited a mix of attendees: seasoned TapRooT® Users who’ve really mastered the RCA process, as well as those just beginning their journey — whether they’ve just purchased a Software License, taken their first Train-the-Trainer course, or recently completed their initial training.
We had a fantastic blend of professionals from EHS, Quality, and Equipment Reliability. To make the most of the collective experience in the room, I asked for volunteers to speak on three key areas:
- A current challenge they’re facing.
The idea is that someone else in the room may have tackled something similar and could offer valuable insights or advice to help shorten the learning curve. - A best practice.
One volunteer shared a creative way they’ve strengthened TapRooT® implementation to get even better results. This gave the rest of us a chance to ask questions and evaluate how we might apply the same approach in our work. - A success story.
Hearing about a real-world win helped others see what’s possible – and sparked a great discussion about how to replicate that success.
The meeting lasted just about an hour, but the takeaways were incredibly worthwhile. We created a safe, open space for sharing, asking questions, and offering support. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. When I asked for volunteers for the next meeting, I had all three spots filled within an hour.
The mix of experienced and newer users created a dynamic that’s hard to replicate. The veterans were eager to share. The newcomers were engaged and full of questions. I was genuinely humbled and impressed by what this focused group accomplished in a short time – driven by curiosity, openness, and a shared goal of improvement.
I’m already looking forward to our next meeting in August.
My takeaway: Look around at your network. Find a way to create a space where people can share their challenges, ideas, and success stories. You’ll learn from each other – and build meaningful professional connections in the process. Several attendees mentioned they’re now planning to come to the Global TapRooT® Summit at the end of September to meet in person and continue the conversations.
If you’d like to be part of the next TapRooT® SuperUser meeting, email me at Marcus@taproot.com – I’ll see if I can get you on the invite list. The more people we bring in, the more value we all gain.
