FCC Opens Formal Investigation into AT&T Outage

AT&T Outage - hacking, software update, solar flares

FCC Announces Investigation

In a press conference, FCC spokesman Jonathan Uriarte announced:

“The FCC is carrying out a thorough investigation into a
nationwide outage of the AT&T network that affected
millions of consumers and disrupted access to
lifesaving communications…”

What will they use to get to the root causes of this problem? It has been two weeks; shouldn’t they be close to figuring this out?

Previous Article

We wrote a short article about this outage back on February 22. You can read it HERE.

I also posted this link to an analysis that said it was due to a solar flare…

When the results are released, we will see the outcome of the investigation. Hopefully, they will have an answer to prevent future outages, no matter the cause.
